The audience was convinced that Mihail Pânzaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fiori Koehler was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Pegaso's Loren Prats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Queirós in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Pânzaru came free, but Fiori Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Pegaso got a corner. Alvinegro Carioca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jairo Valery ran over to the corner to take the kick. Baybars-Tolgahan Balta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loren Prats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Mihail Pânzaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fiori Koehler having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Valery got free with Fiori Koehler in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Alvinegro Carioca booed when Pegaso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efren Dobale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fiori Koehler came out of the goal and Mihail Pânzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fiori Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihail Pânzaru went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Queirós came free, but Loren Prats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihail Pânzaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mihail Pânzaru came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Pegaso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihail Pânzaru couldn't finish the play. Fiori Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Vachon in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Pegaso booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baybars-Tolgahan Balta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loren Prats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Queirós in the 62nd minute of the match. When Alvinegro Carioca's Enéas Queirós in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jairo Valery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pegaso's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Valery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute Mihail Pânzaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihail Pânzaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fiori Koehler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Pânzaru in the 94th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Fiori Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvinegro Carioca's Michel da Silveira suffered a concussion in the 94th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jairo Valery during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Pegaso got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Valery. Pegaso's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
