In the 21st minute, Reynaldo Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Kepa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Neves notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Estudiantes de La Plata's Nicolas Kepa. Nicolas Kepa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Gartzea to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Vinícius Haaland made a precise shot to the right of Nicolas Kepa. Estudiantes de La Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 0-6 became the score in the 41st minute when Vinícius Haaland elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Edinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Sotil in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Vinícius Haaland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinícius Haaland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Kepa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Kepa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Wit Chuchro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Reynaldo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinícius Haaland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maverick Futebol Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
