Atlanta's Tony Guimarães got control of the ball when Uriel Isias tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of C. A. Atlanta booed when Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Porfirio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Guimarães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Uriel Isias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Uriel Isias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Tony Guimarães made a huge save. After 15 minutes, Romulo Hever mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Atlanta and the Juniors FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Romulo Hever hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Nicanor Porfirio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Guimarães skillfully saved the ball. In the 17th minute Uriel Isias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Primo in the 20th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Isias in the 26th minute. Juniors FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicanor Porfirio in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Isias in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lázaro Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Orlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner. Teodoro Primo went to the cornerflag to take it. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C. A. Atlanta! Wlodzimierz Lepper walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Uriel Isias 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 43rd match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Manex to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uriel Isias got free with Tony Guimarães in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute Juniors FC were awarded a corner. Nicanor Porfirio went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco was substituted for Uriel Isias. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Frasco to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Enrique Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C. A. Atlanta's Constantino Bertol was substituted for Teodoro Primo. C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Frasco in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Juniors FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ezequiel Barco hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Nicanor Porfirio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enrique Frasco scored 4-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Guimarães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Frasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Guimarães having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Frasco came free, but Tony Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Frasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juniors FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Constantino Bertol scored to the left of an out of position Lázaro Colon, making the score, 4-1. Juniors FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicanor Porfirio in the 89th minute. The corner led Juniors FC's Nicanor Porfirio to fire away a dangerous shot which Tony Guimarães despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 89 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Manex. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juniors FC were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after C. A. Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicanor Porfirio took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Ezequiel Barco heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ezequiel Barco kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Juniors FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
