The corner ended in Henrique Camargo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly did a great save. 7 minutes into the game, Geovanildo Luis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lionel Paly was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Allbäck scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lionel Paly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lionel Paly was a little too slow when Geovanildo Luis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Allbäck got free with Lionel Paly in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save FC Wil 1900 from getting a goal against them. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 22nd minute of the match. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Rosa in the 26th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Emery Heller sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap didn't even have to move. Geovanildo Luis might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Paly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanildo Luis ran back to his position shaking his head. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 40th minute of the match. Geovanildo Luis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Geovanildo Luis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lionel Paly. FC Wil 1900's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanildo Luis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 60th minute, Tory Pryor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Geovanildo Luis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Geovanildo Luis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lionel Paly having to make a save. 94 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanildo Luis came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Joinville City - FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
