The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fábio Rocha got free with Ged Nightingale in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arrows Academy FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Ged Nightingale had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Indiana Jones's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luís Fábio Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Ged Nightingale made a huge save. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arrows Academy FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Demy Ottens was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Hijos de Doña Beija's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Hogg in the 30th minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fábio Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ged Nightingale made a huge save. Ged Nightingale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 34th minute of play. Arrows Academy FC's Ged Nightingale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Haritzeder in the 54th minute of play. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Simpson in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Enekoitz. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Albino Brion was substituted for Luís Fábio Rocha. Fabricio Enekoitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Higinio Aguilera made a huge save.
