Falcão Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Ahmet Refik Ülgü cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Falcão Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Ahmet Refik Ülgü left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC CSKA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Ahmet Refik Ülgü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Falcão Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Téo Vieira sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes, Bo Edström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grentino FC and the FC CSKA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC CSKA booed when Grentino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Edström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28th play minutes Ahmet Refik Ülgü shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Falcão Sampaio and just under the crossbar into goal. 31 minutes into the match, Ahmet Refik Ülgü notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio. Falcão Sampaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the game, Ahmet Refik Ülgü recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Falcão Sampaio. Ahmet Refik Ülgü showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Ahmet Refik Ülgü sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 41st minute of play forced Grentino FC's goalkeeper Falcão Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Sampaio saved Grentino FC from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Falcão Sampaio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Sampaio saved Grentino FC from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Falcão Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asparuh Genovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Falcão Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Roderigo in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Erasmo Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 71 minutes on the clock, Fedor Delafosse commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 70 minutes into the game, one of Grentino FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ruslan Dzhalev took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Sampaio. Falcão Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruslan Dzhalev in the 78th minute of play. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgi Dimitrov in the 81st minute of play. Falcão Sampaio came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC CSKA's Arnulfo Roderigo. But to his dismay, Arnulfo Roderigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 85th minute Ruslan Dzhalev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruslan Dzhalev, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Roderigo in the 88th minute of play. Falcão Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruslan Dzhalev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Válter Baiano fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grentino FC's protests and gave Válter Baiano a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grentino FC! For all the effort they put into the match, the Grentino FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC CSKA.
