In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrzej Badanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Doni Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talleres the free kick. Doni Arce hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukita Modrić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lukita Modrić was slow to take the kick. During this time Talleres's players had a chance to rest. Matias Carlomagno made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Andrzej Badanowski sent off a good shot on target. Andrzej Badanowski in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
