The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Claudinei Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Talleres's goalkeeper 王竞耀 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Freddie. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Frédson Freddie put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of 王竞耀. A collision led to NoWayOut getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Zülfü Yalazay hit a great ball. Ergün Şener took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Badanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrzej Badanowski in the 20th minute of play forced NoWayOut's goalkeeper Ergün Şener to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ergün Şener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Badanowski in the 29th minute of the match. Ergün Şener stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrzej Badanowski's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 王竞耀 came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by NoWayOut's Frédson Freddie. But to his dismay, Frédson Freddie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Talleres were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after NoWayOut's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lukita Modrić took the corner. The corner ended in Lukita Modrić almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but NoWayOut's Ergün Şener did a great save. Andrzej Badanowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ergün Şener read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Badanowski to make the kick off. Ergün Şener made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrzej Badanowski in the 51st minute. NoWayOut made a substitution. Vilgot Rang replaced Lauro Argandoña. Conrad Mattern made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Talleres's Aldo Gonza. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind NoWayOut's goalkeeper Ergün Şener, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Andrzej Badanowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talleres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Conrad Mattern made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Xie Sheng Yan. NoWayOut's Ergün Şener played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrzej Badanowski in the 72nd minute of play. Ergün Şener made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Badanowski in the 75th minute of play. Ergün Şener took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Badanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of NoWayOut booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perico Pérez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frédson Freddie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Talleres's 王竞耀 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Freddie in the 80th minute of play. Talleres's Jorge Martínez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Conrad Mattern in the 85 minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Zülfü Yalazay came free, but 王竞耀 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talleres's Andrzej Badanowski got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Freddie in the 96th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper 王竞耀 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. NoWayOut had won after a very even match.
