After taking down the ball on Bograngen's corner Dewa Gol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adriano Carneiro quite easily take care of the ball. Bograngen's Cláudio-André Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Bograngen from getting a goal against them. Adriano Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dewa Gol in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Bograngen were awarded a corner. Dewa Gol went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Dewa Gol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MAZER SAF's Adriano Carneiro did a great save. In the 31st match minute, MAZER SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erland Stenqvist in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Dewa Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Bograngen got a corner. MAZER SAF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dewa Gol ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Bograngen's corner Dewa Gol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adriano Carneiro quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as MAZER SAF's Thiago Motta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cláudio-André Taffarel. That made the score 1-0 after 45 minutes of play. Bograngen made a substitution. Sven-Olof Eklund replaced Erland Stenqvist. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dewa Gol was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bograngen's Gabriel Cordero got a free kick in the 54th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Pontus Nilsson put in a rough tackle. 2-0 came in the 58th minute when Beraldo Soberano all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Cláudio-André Taffarel.
