In the 3rdth minute of the game Linus Fredriksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Odysseus Lindenmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yin Yang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dionisio Panpili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseus Lindenmann having to interfere. Odysseus Lindenmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Linus Fredriksson's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Sven-Arne Bengtsson sent off a good shot on target. If Yin Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marlin FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Fire Devils's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santiago Cachorro took the corner. Odysseus Lindenmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 16th minute of play. Linus Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseus Lindenmann having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Yang in the 20th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Odysseus Lindenmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Linus Fredriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Linus Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odysseus Lindenmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marlin FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santiago Cachorro in the 26th minute. Marlin FC's Santiago Cachorro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Odysseus Lindenmann in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marlin FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmílson Gaúcho was slow to take the kick. During this time Fire Devils's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Edmílson Gaúcho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez did a great save. In the 30th minute Linus Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odysseus Lindenmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Linus Fredriksson in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odysseus Lindenmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Odysseus Lindenmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Odysseus Lindenmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Linus Fredriksson came free, but Odysseus Lindenmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fire Devils defense, Linus Fredriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Odysseus Lindenmann. The Fire Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Odysseus Lindenmann should have stopped the shot. Odysseus Lindenmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Panpili, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
Fire Devils's Samuel Giger was substituted for Garson Pfäffli. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmílson Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Vornic in the 54th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marlin FC's Santiago Cachorro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Odysseus Lindenmann in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fire Devils's Zlatko Ibrahimović was substituted for Edmílson Gaúcho. Odysseus Lindenmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yin Yang in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann got control of the ball when Yin Yang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Yin Yang notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann. Odysseus Lindenmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fire Devils's goalkeeper Odysseus Lindenmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sven-Arne Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Diego Aloisia fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fire Devils's protests and gave Diego Aloisia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Aloisia to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Marlin FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
