Juan Carlos Alvarez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Octavian Basten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Octavian Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Carlos Alvarez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. JKs Talanger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Linus Fredriksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Linus Fredriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Kjell Åkesson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juan Carlos Alvarez. The goal made the score 2-1. Juan Carlos Alvarez was a little too slow when Kjell Åkesson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 3-1. After having played for 37 minutes, Kjell Åkesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JKs Talanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Åkesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 minutes of play, Marlin FC's Aybek Orcun made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Wallander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walter Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Giovanni Rana hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Linus Fredriksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Sotil. Walter Wallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybek Orcun, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a left leg Juan Carlos Alvarez saved Marlin FC from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Basten came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Gösta Granberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute Boleslaw Gecionis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. JKs Talanger's Kent Möller got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The JKs Talanger fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marlin FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
