In the 11th minute, Linus Fredriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Odysseus Lindenmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Marlin FC's Dionisio Panpili got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Arne Bengtsson in the 17th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Linus Fredriksson in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odysseus Lindenmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Odysseus Lindenmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 31st minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Odysseus Lindenmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Carlos Alvarez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmílson Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Odysseus Lindenmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Linus Fredriksson came free, but Odysseus Lindenmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fire Devils's goalkeeper Odysseus Lindenmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fire Devils's Robin Andermatt was substituted for Garson Pfäffli. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Linus Fredriksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Odysseus Lindenmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Panpili in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez got control of the ball when Zlatko Ibrahimović tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 84 minutes, Yuri Vilaverde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fire Devils and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jeronimo Sotil made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Reynaldo Duarte.
