Kings's Sikstas Simanauskas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Štefan Semeno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Štefan Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nojus Bikas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Balázs Borbély fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haşim Batüralp having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Tomáš Požgaj could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Haşim Batüralp however easily saved by the left post. Kings's Haşim Batüralp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Kings from getting a goal against them. In the 20th match minute, Kings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sikstas Simanauskas to maneuver through the defense. Viktor Seno made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Richard Zedník. After some careless play in the Kings defense, Tomáš Požgaj kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haşim Batüralp. The Kings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haşim Batüralp should have stopped the shot. Kings's Haşim Batüralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Požgaj in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Požgaj in the 38th minute of play forced Kings's goalkeeper Haşim Batüralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haşim Batüralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Požgaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 44 minutes into the game, one of Kings:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Haşim Batüralp had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomáš Požgaj's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 46 minutes Kings's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peter Pekarík who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Adam Obert almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kings's Haşim Batüralp did a great save. In the 46th minute, AFK Petržalka's Adam Obert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haşim Batüralp. Haşim Batüralp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nojus Bikas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomáš Požgaj might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haşim Batüralp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomáš Požgaj ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute Tomáš Požgaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haşim Batüralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Adam Obert. AFK Petržalka made a substitution. Michal Hudák replaced Tomáš Požgaj. Haşim Batüralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Hudák, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Bališ came free, but Haşim Batüralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Igor Bališ's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haşim Batüralp was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Vernon De Marco made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kings's J.P. Daniel. Haşim Batüralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AFK Petržalka fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kings had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
