Liu Xing Qiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Pires in the 5th minute of play. If Erwin Jadamowitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Austra 04 VFC's Hudson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Cannata in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC got a freekick which was hit by Quique Branca. After a rather tough play, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Eugenio Cannata got a free kick in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Austra 04 VFC's Sócrates Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Liu Xing Qiang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute Wellington Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Xing Qiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Malta in the 51st minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Austra 04 VFC's Cafu dos Santos got a free kick in the 52nd minute.
