In the 9th minute, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Mekki Item showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Iztal, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Mattin Solbeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Item saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodolfo Anaya. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. Zulkarnaen Mandaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tacheros OFF's Artemio Javiero got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tacheros OFF were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Bandung Tigers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jan-Ove Tunander took the corner. Zulkarnaen Mandaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Anaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Bandung Tigers got a corner. Tacheros OFF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wang Zheng Yun ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tacheros OFF's goalie and right to Fachri Puang. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tacheros OFF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 41st minute of play. Jan-Ove Tunander hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Anaya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 minutes, Mattin Solbeida made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mattin Solbeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Anaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Zulkarnaen Mandaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodolfo Anaya having to make a save. Rodolfo Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mekki Item made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Blanco in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Zulkarnaen Mandaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tacheros OFF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wang Zheng Yun was slow to take the kick. During this time Bandung Tigers's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Xiao Jie De heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 69 minutes of play, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Anaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! 73 minutes into the match, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Anaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Zulkarnaen Mandaga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Anaya was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Rodolfo Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 78th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Mekki Item successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Azevedo in the 90th minute of play forced Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rodolfo Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bandung Tigers had won after a very even match.
