The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Blanco got free with Giancarlo Donnarumma in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sérgio Jacinto made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Matias Iztal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giancarlo Donnarumma. Ekipa Damcia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matias Iztal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Giancarlo Donnarumma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Najarro's shot from short distance in the 59th minute.
