Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viktor Axelsson to make the kick off. Basri İhtiyar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Agulescu in the 57th minute of play. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Armando Junior in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Diego Armando Junior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Călin Prunaru. FC MCM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Armando Junior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Yalapa made a substitution. Cristobal Isusko replaced Faustino Dimo. Yalapa's Atilano Dino was substituted for Olaf Gall. Basri İhtiyar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Isbășoiu in the 69th minute of the match. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save FC MCM from getting a goal against them. Călin Prunaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC MCM manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Yalapa to win.
