In the 24th minute, Teodoro Hartz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Teodoro Hartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Carroll Mansfield lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Belgrano LOS PIRATAS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bresikas:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Enekoitz in the 38th minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cumhur Günay hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leovigildo Abumohor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Bresikas's Karl-Åke Stolpe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogério Ceni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Teodoro Hartz might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Jacob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Hartz ran back to his position shaking his head. Edu Dum kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Emanuel Jacob stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Hartz's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After 78 played minutes Bresikas got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Eudoxio. The supporters of Belgrano LOS PIRATAS booed when Bresikas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Eudoxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Hartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Emanuel Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bresikas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
