In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Felix Donciu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Paulo Luz spun around in front of the goal 11 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of A.A. Cachila's goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Luz in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Hartz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute Joélson Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Terri Moco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Felix Donciu firmly grabbed it by the left post. 27 minutes in the game Basílio Baiano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joélson Amaral. The crowd rose to their feet as A.A. Cachila's Terri Moco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felix Donciu. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Werneck FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joélson Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Orlo in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match A.A. Cachila got a corner. Werneck FC - DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonas Orlo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led A.A. Cachila's Jonas Orlo to fire away a dangerous shot which Felix Donciu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 47th minute Zé Paulo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

A.A. Cachila's Seymour Skinner was substituted for Roberto Lapurdi. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Terri Moco made a kick off. In the 83rd minute, Rodrigo Astudillo made a precise shot to the right of Felix Donciu. Werneck FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
