With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuralp Akbal in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosme Fernendo saved River from getting behind. In the 6th match minute, River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Henrico to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute River were awarded a corner. Adolfo Obeko went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 13th minute, Nuralp Akbal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosme Fernendo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cosme Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuralp Akbal's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Pagos FC's Nuralp Akbal got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Nuralp Akbal put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Cosme Fernendo. Cosme Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuralp Akbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Pagos FC's goalkeeper Manuel Campens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Lund. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pagos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Obeko was slow to take the kick. During this time River's players had a chance to rest. River's Gaetan Slaghmeulders was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manuel Campens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind River's goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Nuralp Akbal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Fernendo was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. A collision led to River getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ambrosio Mitxaut hit a great ball. River's Cosme Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuralp Akbal in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of River booed when Pagos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Gaetan Slaghmeulders could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Manuel Campens however easily saved by the left post. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuralp Akbal to make the kick off. River's Cosme Fernendo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save River from getting a goal against them. After 52 played minutes River got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Laurgain. Cosme Fernendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuralp Akbal in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Nuralp Akbal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Pagos FC's Nuralp Akbal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosme Fernendo. That made the score 0-5 after 60 minutes of play. Nuralp Akbal might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Fernendo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuralp Akbal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Nuralp Akbal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pagos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Pagos FC made a substitution. Argyris Panteliadis replaced Mjölnir Martelo. After having played for 75 minutes, Nuralp Akbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pagos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuralp Akbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuralp Akbal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosme Fernendo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Cosme Fernendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuralp Akbal in the 80th minute. River's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Nuralp Akbal scored to the left of an out of position Cosme Fernendo, making the score, 0-7. Nuralp Akbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nuralp Akbal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Cosme Fernendo made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Nuralp Akbal put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Cosme Fernendo. Pagos FC played a much better game than River and deserved their victory. The River players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
