After a rather tough play, EL Ciulos Lamos's Mieszko Fujara got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dobromir Piechocki took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingvar Nykvist. Ingvar Nykvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Edmondo Del Monte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dandung Garmana having to interfere. Dandung Garmana made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Santiago Silva sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmondo Del Monte kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dandung Garmana. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. The supporters of EL Ciulos Lamos booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Dobromir Piechocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Nykvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Silva made a kick off. Dandung Garmana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dandung Garmana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Del Monte in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, EL Ciulos Lamos's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Del Monte came free, but Dandung Garmana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Santiago Silva made a precise shot to the right of Dandung Garmana. EL Ciulos Lamos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 66 minutes into the game, Edmondo Del Monte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dandung Garmana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Zheng Yang Zhen was substituted for Edmondo Del Monte. Dandung Garmana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a little luck, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist got control of the ball when Dobromir Piechocki tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petros Mirtsos in the 84th minute of play forced EL Ciulos Lamos's goalkeeper Dandung Garmana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Piotr Skrzypiec who took care of the corner kick. The corner led EL Ciulos Lamos's Piotr Skrzypiec to fire away a dangerous shot which Ingvar Nykvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zheng Yang Zhen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Björn Kamp came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the ΠΑΟΚ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Kamp couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Petros Mirtsos notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of EL Ciulos Lamos's Dandung Garmana. Dandung Garmana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Nykvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ΠΑΟΚ FC fully deserved thier win.
