Mihăiţă Ştefulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 顾义远, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Mancinelli in the 16th minute of play. 顾义远 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Mihăiţă Ştefulescu made a huge save. The audience was convinced that 黄超亦's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atay Türegün was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 47th minute Engin Dönmez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atay Türegün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes MegaFenerbahce's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Engin Dönmez who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Engin Dönmez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Atay Türegün quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 黄超亦 made a kick off. Atay Türegün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Engin Dönmez in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind GoooooL's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Ştefulescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on MegaFenerbahce's corner Fabio Mancinelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mihăiţă Ştefulescu quite easily take care of the ball. After 59 minutes of play, MegaFenerbahce's Gazi Arıcan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, MegaFenerbahce's Fabio Mancinelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihăiţă Ştefulescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
