In the 9th minute Åke Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to Zero Hedge's Nils Eliasson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Löv had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Faria. Gottfrid Stenman charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gottfrid Stenman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Zero Hedge getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gottfrid Stenman hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Raimundo Ventura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jens-Ola Löv. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s zone, Åke Jansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Qiu Chuan Ran came out of the goal and Åke Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Zero Hedge's Jens-Ola Löv got control of the ball when Rodolfo Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Viberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Löv having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Raimundo Ventura made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Rodolfo Faria made a precise shot to the right of Jens-Ola Löv. Zero Hedge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 58th minute, Gonzalo Lixandro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Jens-Ola Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Ventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Faria in the 62nd minute of play forced Zero Hedge's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ola Löv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Ventura in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Faria in the 72nd minute of play forced Zero Hedge's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Zero Hedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Lindström to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Zero Hedge's Åke Jansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Qiu Chuan Ran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Jens-Ola Löv came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Raimundo Ventura. But to his dismay, Raimundo Ventura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. In the 86th minute, Claudemiro Madureira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. In the 89th match minute, Zero Hedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Kvick to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Madureira came free, but Jens-Ola Löv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zero Hedge's Jens-Ola Löv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Madureira in the 92nd minute of play. Jens-Ola Löv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Faria in the 93rd minute of the match. Leonardo Siggesson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Siggesson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute Raimundo Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
