Nicollao Narbona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermengol Baena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Messi in the 18th minute of play. Ermengol Baena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacy Kinic in the 20th minute of the match. Corinthians's Jaime Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Bosch in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Franco Bosch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Almeida was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
