Eduardo Martini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Arantes got free with Ermengol Baena in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Arantes in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermengol Baena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 11th play minutes Washington Arantes shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Ermengol Baena and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Bosch in the 17th minute of play forced CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute Gilbert Bonsaint shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermengol Baena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Bonsaint came free, but Ermengol Baena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Washington Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ermengol Baena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harold Straetmans during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anísio Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Eduardo Martini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save CLAYMORE COUNTRY from getting a goal against them. Ermengol Baena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Arantes in the 68th minute of play. CLAYMORE COUNTRY made a substitution. Dusty Amireau replaced Anthony Eadie. After 71 minutes ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anísio Azevedo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on CLAYMORE COUNTRY's corner Anísio Azevedo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ermengol Baena quite easily take care of the ball. Ermengol Baena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute of the match, Nicollao Narbona got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eduardo Martini was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Gilbert Bonsaint had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermengol Baena. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilbert Bonsaint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Eduardo Martini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quirce Lamas in the 85th minute. In the 85th minute, Jimeno Sadurni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Daniel Golob ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Martini was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s zone, Gilbert Bonsaint stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermengol Baena came out of the goal and Gilbert Bonsaint tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Washington Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ermengol Baena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CLAYMORE COUNTRY fully deserved thier win.
