Corinthians's Jaime Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Eadie in the 23rd minute of play. Cristiano Messi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lucas Maciel made a huge save. The supporters of Corinthians booed when CLAYMORE COUNTRY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Corinthians's Cristiano Messi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Maciel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Corinthians defense, Washington Arantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Almeida. The Corinthians fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Almeida should have stopped the shot. After 41 minutes, Kiril Biradzhiev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians and the CLAYMORE COUNTRY players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Messi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilbert Bonsaint went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gilbert Bonsaint made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Washington Arantes notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Corinthians's Jaime Almeida. Jaime Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristiano Messi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Corinthians's Jaime Almeida got control of the ball when Anísio Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute Anísio Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacy Kinic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Maciel having to interfere. Corinthians made a substitution. Rubinho de Lara replaced Ignacy Kinic. Corinthians's José Vítor Ramos was substituted for Cristiano Messi. José Vítor Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Maciel having to interfere. Jaime Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Azevedo in the 89th minute of the match. Anísio Azevedo didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 89th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Anísio Azevedo ran dejectedly back to his position. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Jaime Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match was over CLAYMORE COUNTRY could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corinthians throughout the match.
