AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dadá Oliveira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 24th minute, Kasper Bivall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dacian Nițescu. The goal made the score 1-0. Flamengo's August Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Sazon in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Don Cabezon in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hjortberg saved Flamengo from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Don Cabezon made a precise shot to the right of August Hjortberg. Flamengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dadá Oliveira hit a great ball. Dacian Nițescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Cabezon made a kick off. After 59 played minutes AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Martxot. After a defensive mix-up in AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's zone, Li Nan Yu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dacian Nițescu came out of the goal and Li Nan Yu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Oliveira. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Kasper Bivall sped through AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dacian Nițescu. Peter Östensson's late challenge caught a AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Östensson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Peter Östensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Peter Östensson got a free kick in the 74th minute. Samuel Mambru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Dos Santos made in the 79th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Samuel Mambru however managed to control. When Mauro Dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's protests and gave Mauro Dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Mauro Dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Dacian Nițescu came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo's Elliott Gustafsson. But to his dismay, Elliott Gustafsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Kasper Bivall sped through AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dacian Nițescu. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo's goalkeeper August Hjortberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
