If Iustin Bâru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the match, A S Y A™'s goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Bâru came free, but Santiago Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Lorien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Bâru in the 12th minute of play. Santiago Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Bot in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes A S Y A™ got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Tiadoro. Cássio Gonçalves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santiago Lorien. A S Y A™'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santiago Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 23rd minute of the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albino Osoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Facundo Bot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iustin Bâru in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Lorien saved A S Y A™ from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Fernando Amorebieta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. A S Y A™ made a substitution. Isaias Florian replaced Albino Osoro. Santiago Lorien didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustin Bâru went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Iakovos Efthimiadis replaced Merih Yesari. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iustin Bâru in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Lorien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Bot got free with Santiago Lorien in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Go Ahead Eagles's Erling Lewandowski was substituted for Iustin Bâru. Ariel Chayo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 0-5 became the score in the 81st minute when Facundo Bot elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 84thth minute of the game Erling Lewandowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A S Y A™'s Santiago Lorien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Go Ahead Eagles fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Go Ahead Eagles's Erling Lewandowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Erling Lewandowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 88th minute Erling Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Lorien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erling Lewandowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santiago Lorien came out and tried to block the shot, but Erling Lewandowski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 92nd minute. Santiago Lorien was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Facundo Bot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 95 minute of play. Go Ahead Eagles played a much better game than A S Y A™ and deserved their victory. The A S Y A™ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
