Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) La Rat started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 9 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's La Rat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jess Carnduff having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alemannia Aachen's Louis Leißner got a free kick in the 15th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from La Rat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's La Rat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alemannia Aachen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mateusz Rydel in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute La Rat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateusz Rydel in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jess Carnduff quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute. In the 42nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jess Carnduff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Thomas Müller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. La Rat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Bengt Rosenbaum hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jess Carnduff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If La Rat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, La Rat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alemannia Aachen's supporters crossed their fingers, but La Rat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. La Rat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from La Rat in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, La Rat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from La Rat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Manfred Kottsieper. An unexpectedly hard shot by La Rat in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jess Carnduff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfred Kottsieper hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Thomas Müller hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jess Carnduff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Thomas Müller came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Müller couldn't finish the play.
