Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime Pardo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Roman Gdaniec's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Berkay Yetiş sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Roman Gdaniec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Roman Gdaniec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Gdaniec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jüri Haiba in the 14 minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Gdaniec. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Gdaniec in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Roman Gdaniec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. After 26 minutes of play, Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Roman Gdaniec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Girona FC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iván Salgado took the corner. Jacobo Nores stood somewhat misplaced when Roman Gdaniec came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Gdaniec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Roman Gdaniec fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Girona FC made a substitution. David Palau replaced Roman Gdaniec. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Palau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Palau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Girona FC made a substitution. In the 72nd minute, Alfonso De Pedro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Girona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 76th minute, David Palau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Diego Tenorio hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Palau, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute David Palau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Iker Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. David Palau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Girona FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
