Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Nickolai Nickerson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Axel Montenegro hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Nickolai Nickerson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Nickolai Nickerson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play forced Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nickolai Nickerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Axel Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Eric Soned. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 47th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, Nickolai Nickerson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nickolai Nickerson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-2 at half-time.
The wind increased when Nickolai Nickerson made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Radu Fetea in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Joshua Garrido. In the 55th match minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Rivarola to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Jim Njurenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Njurenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Étoile Sportive Du Sahel getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jim Njurenius hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Garrido. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 69th minute of play forced Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Valentin Elg was substituted for Morgan Möllgren. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel made a substitution. Carlo Ancelotti replaced Nickolai Nickerson. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's attentive Manuel Faria managed to snatch the ball when Joshua Garrido made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Carlo Ancelotti notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Tomasz Jakubowski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Garrido, made in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 85th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Ancelotti came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlo Ancelotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Carlo Ancelotti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. When Carlo Ancelotti came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Ancelotti couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eric Soned, 7-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
