Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Alex Cambeiro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Abraham Alguacil might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sertel Adıvar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abraham Alguacil ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sertel Adıvar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes, Qu Ling Lin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poppy FC and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Poppy FC got a freekick which was hit by Qu Ling Lin. 26 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sertel Adıvar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sertel Adıvar saved Poppy FC from getting behind. Sertel Adıvar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 30th minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Abraham Alguacil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poppy FC's Sertel Adıvar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Poppy FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Patrik Flinck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla. Patrik Flinck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. When Damian Brack fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poppy FC's protests and gave Damian Brack a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Sertel Adıvar was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Sertel Adıvar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of play. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sertel Adıvar having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qu Ling Lin was the one to do the kick off. When Nazil Özbilir fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poppy FC's protests and gave Nazil Özbilir a yellow card for diving instead. Nazil Özbilir kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Poppy FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Qu Ling Lin hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qu Ling Lin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sertel Adıvar having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedir Şirvan in the 81st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
