The Dalwhinnie Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciccio Lampa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Gaos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Dalwhinnie Boys's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ramon Saelman in the 10th minute. In the 15th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Zuidema in the 16th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mirko Blank in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Mirko Blank tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Zuidema in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a The Dalwhinnie Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Zuidema stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Tommie Jorna made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Zuidema in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Mirko Blank managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 69th minute, Bruno Zuidema ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 73 played minutes The Dalwhinnie Boys got a freekick which was hit by Tommie Jorna. Jose Correa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Harm Rooy made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Gisbert fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 90th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. After 92 played minutes The Dalwhinnie Boys got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Zuidema. 96 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Jorna came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because The Dalwhinnie Boys had won, even though Venezuela had held more of the ball.
