Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Bernt Nordlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Nordlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernt Nordlund in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vejbystrand made a substitution. Harald Ennegren replaced Joachim Anselius. Vejbystrand's Sílvio Luís Faria was substituted for Sonny Karlberg. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harald Ennegren to make the kick off. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alberto Tafalla. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Ennegren came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Vejbystrand's Harald Ennegren. But to his dismay, Harald Ennegren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 68th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Ennegren in the 71st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 龙挺卫 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Ennegren in the 82nd minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Groth hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 龙挺卫 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Vejbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Rune Groth to maneuver through the defense. 龙挺卫 made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Facundo Cadaval sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with 龙挺卫 in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Ennegren in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, David Rosendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Vejbystrand supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
