After a defensive mix-up in RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Pietras came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of play forced RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's goalkeeper Gilbert Pietras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, RW AHLEN-KNURÓW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylwester Ludwa to maneuver through the defense. RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's Gilbert Pietras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Pietras was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's goalkeeper Gilbert Pietras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilbert Pietras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Dominik Perkowski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Pietras having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. It was beautiful to see Venezuela's Patricio Costa in action when he in the 53rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Gilbert Pietras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes in the game Sylwester Ludwa did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Iwan Lerych. A hard shot 60 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Gilbert Pietras managed to make a qualified save. RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's players were relieved. Sylwester Ludwa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when RW AHLEN-KNURÓW was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylwester Ludwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilbert Pietras didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Perkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylwester Ludwa made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Iwan Lerych however managed to control. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Pietras having to make a save. Patricio Costa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Perkowski in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of RW AHLEN-KNURÓW booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The RW AHLEN-KNURÓW fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Venezuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
