The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of play. Antoni Brama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 6th minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kazimierz Ewertowski, made in the 8th minute of the game. In the 8th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Brama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Monni got free with Rolando Noboa in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Peru booed when Śląsk Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Birkenhagen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Zawisza Obronny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antoni Brama saved Śląsk Bytom from getting behind. After 16 minutes, Zawisza Obronny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Śląsk Bytom and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antoni Brama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Elçin in the 31st minute of play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Julian Murillo sped through Śląsk Bytom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antoni Brama. In the 36th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Brama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Monni came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antoni Brama narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
