An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Miralles in the 4th minute of play forced Sporting Savaria's goalkeeper Márton Gombos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Márton Gombos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos. Márton Gombos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 16 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Márton Gombos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute Kálmán Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Savaria booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Szatmári was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Sporting Savaria players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Sporting Savaria's Lajos Laczkó made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lajos Laczkó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Márton Gombos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Márton Gombos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 82nd minute. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kálmán Mbappè, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Márton Gombos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Sporting Savaria's goalkeeper Márton Gombos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Heiki Uustal's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heiki Uustal helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Sporting Savaria got a freekick which was hit by Heiki Uustal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Panama walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
