After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. Jose Boldu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Jose Boldu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jose Boldu made a huge save. After 59 minutes of play, Deportivo ScrugenFC's Kev Hurtado made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Jose Boldu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution. Renato Tapia replaced Su Yong Zhen. Alan Tamayo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Zoil Pequeño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoil Pequeño in the 73rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Jose Boldu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo ScrugenFC from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jose Boldu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chile players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo ScrugenFC.
