After 12 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Martinsson having to interfere. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Asserlindh in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Axel Martinsson was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Tommy Asserlindh's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cao Ting Ting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Asserlindh in the 75th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sundens BK's Cao Ting Ting got a free kick in the 86th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Emanuel Ocampo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sundens BK the free kick. Jan-Ove Lindmark might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Ove Lindmark ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Asserlindh in the 94th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
