Abdi Ufki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanley Wallace in the 11th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Valladares during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Legion of Boom's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquinho Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Harvey Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Davies to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giovanni Alagoano went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Suárez in the 94th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Legion of Boom's Giovanni Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. Legion of Boom walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
