Francisco Seco's late challenge caught a Rondo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Seco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Francisco Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Brandsma kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 22nd minute of play forced Rondo's goalkeeper Andy Olfers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Olfers having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Rondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Baker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rondo's Andy Olfers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Maximiliano Escribano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Seco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andy Olfers firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Seco came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andy Olfers could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andy Olfers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dirk-Jan Zwartkruis charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirk-Jan Zwartkruis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rondo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 minutes, Ben Brandsma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondo and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot 87 in the game by Francisco Seco from a close distance when the talented Andy Olfers managed to make a qualified save. Rondo's players were relieved. Rondo's Andy Olfers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Rondo from getting a goal against them. When Dirk-Jan Zwartkruis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Andy Olfers however easily saved by the left post. 1-3 became the score in the 93rd minute when Francisco Seco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
