After having played for 61 minutes, Edward Mcdonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angelo Peruzzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 69th minute of the match. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Angelo Peruzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 71st minute of play. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. The corner ended in Khalid Parry almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Borussia Dortmund MZB's Angelo Peruzzi did a great save. 89 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Koehler came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Peruzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Palmeira in the 94th minute of play. USA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
