The corner led Developers's Erubiel Crispo to fire away a dangerous shot which Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hernán Prats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Oroitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Jonas Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan De Leon kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Gaspar Selatse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernán Prats skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Developers getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Erubiel Crispo hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Beat came free, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernán Prats made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Clemente Oroitz sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Developers's Candido Tancredo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Horácio Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Horácio Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Developers's Miguel Gentza got a free kick in the 71st minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Developers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Jonas Tauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernán Prats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Developers defense, Mauricio Luken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernán Prats. The Developers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernán Prats should have stopped the shot. Horácio Maranhense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a huge save. In the 88th minute Clemente Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernán Prats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcelino Mikeldi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Developers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcelino Mikeldi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 93rd minute, Gaspar Selatse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atlético Escocia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Developers for a fine match.
