After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andrey Dvoryankin quite easily take care of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Arsenal F.C.'s Paolo Rossi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrey Dvoryankin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mexico booed when Arsenal F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Kirilchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrey Dvoryankin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Rossi in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Paolo Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrey Dvoryankin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Arsenal F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Anton Kirilchenko hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Arsenal F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joel Gaona 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. In the 54th match minute, Arsenal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Kirilchenko to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Andrey Dvoryankin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 65th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andrey Dvoryankin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 70 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrey Dvoryankin, 0-2. Arsenal F.C.'s Stanislav Sharapov was substituted for Paolo Rossi. 76 minutes into the match, Arsenal F.C.'s goalkeeper Andrey Dvoryankin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislav Sharapov in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrey Dvoryankin came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Anton Kirilchenko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Kirilchenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. Arsenal F.C.'s Andrey Dvoryankin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arsenal F.C..
