Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mattias Smefeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Fredrik Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 18th minute of play. Henry Åkerström hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Michael Haglund's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Haglund helped the player get up and apologised. 21 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fredrik Bennet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Fredrik Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Bennet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Fredrik Bennet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaron Barrios kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roger Kalfhage. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Fredrik Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Samurai getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bo Svanström hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. In the 68th minute of the match Roger Kalfhage shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fredrik Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fredrik Bennet. The goal made the score 2-3. If Matthew Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 83rd minute of play. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Fredrik Bennet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fredrik Bennet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samurai's Fredrik Bennet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 96th minute of play. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
