A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Artemio Domenech quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nils Siöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Busk's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Busk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Anton Busk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A.JORGOVAN's Artemio Domenech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A.JORGOVAN defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Domenech. The C.A.JORGOVAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Domenech should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Domenech having to interfere. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, C.A.JORGOVAN's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Artemio Domenech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Hoya got free with Julio Vera in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. A hard shot 47 in the game by Gervasio Bermund from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Hoya was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Artemio Domenech made a huge save. 61 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artemio Domenech. C.A.JORGOVAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.JORGOVAN's Nils Siöberg. But to his dismay, Nils Siöberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. C.A.JORGOVAN's Eulalio Galindo was substituted for Gervasio Bermund. C.A.JORGOVAN's Godfredo Mikeldi was substituted for Mircea Grigorie. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Gagriel in the 73rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Artemio Domenech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Artemio Domenech in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.JORGOVAN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Nils Siöberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute 庄永适 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing C.A.JORGOVAN to leave the ground with a draw.
