If Cornelio Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Richard Textex showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Newpi Academy's Nereo Jakes got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Maore. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tonete got free with Dante Lacasa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th play minute Alberto Tonete came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Lacasa. 1-0. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Textex stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Perrando got free with Dante Lacasa in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Richard Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Newpi Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Jakes to maneuver through the defense. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Textex having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla's late challenge caught a Newpi Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Tafalla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Newpi Academy's Cornelio Guerrero made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tonete in the 58th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tonete in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Newpi Academy booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Conrado Maore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tonete in the 76th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Antonio Perrando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Cazalla during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Newpi Academy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
