Danial Dunbar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Luisito James got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shaki Conn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
