Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robert Ahlquist started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute, Celso Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 12th minute of play forced Nana FC's goalkeeper Carolo Pirro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Carolo Pirro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Celso Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Barros. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Frank Barros took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Nana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Arce to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Carolo Pirro throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eliseo Noboa in the 54thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 56thth minute of the game Robert Ahlquist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robert Ahlquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Carolo Pirro in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the match, Nana FC's Frank Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Ahlquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carolo Pirro made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Eliseo Noboa sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Nana FC's Frank Barros got a free kick in the 88th minute. Eliseo Noboa might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Pirro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Noboa ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Celso Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot.
