The referee showed Angelino Atauri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Angelino Atauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Johan Johansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johan Johansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nick Pope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. After 26th play minutes Sidney Porto shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Daniel Åhman got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcus Norberg. Angelino Atauri hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Gisbert during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Nick Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Pope having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Daniel Åhman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Bruno Beldad quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Caballero in the 54th minute of play. Bernardo Caballero kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Nick Pope made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 64th minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Bernardo Caballero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bajen's Svante Forsberg was substituted for Nicklas Trøjgaard. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Porto in the 78th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Sidney Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bajen made a substitution. Rolf Henriksson replaced Sidney Porto. Bajen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
